ABOUT: Provide academic support by employing proven alternative learning approaches to strengthen educational foundations through both culturally appropriate and service-oriented strategies
TITLE: academic achievement
SUMMARY: Academic Achievement Services - LEARN. APPLY. SUCCEED. Concerned Citizens Community Involvement established the Academic Achievement Services (AAS): Learning Academy to bridge the educational resource gap amongst South LA communities of color by empowering local middle and high school students to learn, apply and succeed in achieving their academic and professional goals. We do this by equipping students with necessary study and learning skills while incorporating career development and mentorship opportunities with the students as well. CCCI will be piloting the Learning Academy through an 8-week program taking place from October 12 - December 7. Every Saturday, we will convene 25 middle and high school students for a 2.5 hour session of learning, mentorship, service and fun. To learn more about the program or how to contact our staff, please take an opportunity to explore our website. Also, check our blog for regular updates on academic achievement..
